Argent Capital Management, a St. Louis based investment firm, was seeking a CRM solution in 2005. Previously, Argent had been managing client data in a number of ways, including in Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, Advent and on individual hard drives. It became apparent that Argent needed a central location for client information for the purpose of client servicing, marketing and additional everyday activities. Now that Argent has adopted SalesLogix for this role, they refer to it as their “lifeline” for client information.
The main use for SLX at Argent is to track their Investment Accounts for their customers. Argent is able to send out Letters of Understanding to not only the customer, the attorney, as well as other parties which need to be copied on the literature. The information from the LOU is pulled right from SalesLogix into the letter, minimizing time it had previously taken and sending accurate data.
Argent hosts numerous events throughout the year for its clients. Argent utilizes two SalesLogix add-ons – Events and List Codes – to streamline the invitation and event hosting process. Upon entry into SLX, Argent assigns each client the appropriate List Codes, which allows for groups to be easily compiled and exported to Excel. This drastically improves the efficiency and accuracy of mailing invitations. Argent then uses the Events module to track the attendees, RSVPs and invitees. Having this central location for client data makes the event planning process and the event follow-up process much more efficient and accurate.
