Strategic Sales Systems Adds ERP Consulting to Services Line-Up

ST. LOUIS, Mo.(February 24, 2014)- Strategic Sales Systems, Inc., (SSS) a leading integrator of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems, has introduced a new area of expertise, adding to its ever-expanding suite of services.  With the launch of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team, the company can now provide its clients with consultation on the complex business management software process, from needs assessment to implementation.

When used to their fullest potential ERP software systems can streamline a company’s business functions from product planning and sales and marketing to manufacturing and inventory management, many times producing significant cost savings and more efficient processes.  Scott Jepsen, vice president of consulting, and his team serve as consultants working alongside every client considering an ERP system. 

Emphasizing the idea that not every business needs or is prepared for a comprehensive program, the SSS team first conducts a needs assessment including review of management support of the process, organizational readiness and IT infrastructure.  Assuming a positive outlook, the ERP planning process moves forward through a business review to fully understand the company’s operations, business objectives and key differentiators.  The intelligence is then used to develop a brief and highly on-point Request For Information distributed to possible vendors that produces a qualified pool of options, independent of any bias to a particular software manufacturer.  From there, the vendor is determined and implementation begins, with the entire process managed by Jepsen and his team.

Jepsen joined SSS in November 2013 bringing with him a diverse technical and business background including consulting, sales and technical positions.  Most recently, he was the principal of Focus Support Services, where he provided IT and business consulting services focused on systems evaluation, selection and implementation.  He is highly qualified to oversee SSS’s ERP services having conducted these processes for a number of discrete manufacturing and distribution companies ranging from 70-300 employees with revenues up to $200 million.  After a successful implementation Scott continued his career some of these companies in an executive position, living with the created systems on a daily basis and fully understanding their impact on daily operational efficiencies and executive decision support.  This in-house experience provides Scott unique perspective among ERP Project Managers.
